About Dr Alex Concorde
Alex Concorde is spearheading a new era in medicine.
She is probably one of the most diversely qualified doctors in the country. During her medical training she received a prestigious award from The Wellcome Trust to undertake a multi-disciplinary PhD and so became the first UK professional to qualify simultaneously with both medical and scientific doctorates.
This has given her unique insights into science and medicine. She understands the psychology, neuroscience and biology behind complex disorders and has developed methods to tackle and resolve the issues behind them.
From this she has created Syncro-medicine: an advanced, effective, scientifically-informed way to treat numerous conditions and diseases which mainstream medicine, psychotherapy and CAM find very challenging.
Charismatic and enthusiastic, Alex brings her unique insights into complex science to the mainstream, focusing on driving meaning and clinical value from the wealth of science already available to take our health and well-being to new levels.
| Scientist, Speaker, Spokesperson |
In frequent demand as a key-note international speaker, she has given many enthralling seminars over the years, has authored leading-edge scientific research papers and is quoted in the national press.
| Medical Specialist and CAM Industry Leader |
With a long history of recognition of her ability to solve complex problems she is unusual in being considered an industry leader in both Medicine and Complementary Medicine (CAM).
| Pioneering clinician and enthusiastic contributor |
Alex Concorde is Founder and Head of Research and Clinical Services for Concorde Clinics, is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine (RSM), and contributes as Young Fellows' Representative on the Council of the RSM Section for Hypnosis and Psychosomatic Medicine.
She is also President of the International Association of Transformational Change, a not-for-profit organisation which facilitates and supports all aspects of human enhancement founded in science.
| At the cutting-edge of scientific research |
In 2006, Dr Concorde was invited to a special reception at Buckingham Palace, hosted by Her Majesty The Queen and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, on the nomination of the Royal Society of Medicine. The reception recognised the contribution of select members of the British scientific community.
