The four most important sorts of emotional issues that are not so okay are:
'Accumulated' past emotions
These are emotions that relate to the past that have accumulated over time.
You may, for example, have a backlog of guilt, anguish, sadness, fear or regret The filing cabinets of your mind may be stuffed full with these emotions.
The reason they can be a problem is because they can deplete the 'system'.
You may find yourself fuzzy headed, feel flat and low in energy*.
And they may be associated with certain health issues*.
'Accumulated past emotions' can also lead to 'excessive emotionality' - which is when the stuff that is in the filing cabinet keeps spilling over…
'Stuck' past emotions
These are emotions that come from your past which are 'stuck'. There may or may not be many of them - but the ones that are there you usually know about!
Often they are anger or rage or terror or fear based issues.
Sometimes they can be 'stuck' sadness and so on.
These stuck emotions may result in emotional outbursts from time to time.
And they may be associated with other sorts of health issues*.
Emotions that intrude on your capacity to have happiness
Because of the way the brain works, too much negative emotion can 'cloud your emotional horizon'- making it rather difficult to see much positivity and to be happy. Underneath you may know that you are happy - but overall you are not. YOU know who you are!
Emotions that interfere with your ability to focus and concentrate
Then there are emotions that can get in the way of your normal function because they intrude on your other brain processes.
Not all brain functions are affected in the same way and so people doing certain jobs, for example, may be affected more than others.
Or certain functions of your life may be affected more than others.
These emotions may be associated with other health issues*.
